Forty-two characters of hex is not an identity. Six letters are. Say it on a call, put it in a bio, write it on a napkin.

Held in your wallet

Not an account on our server. An ERC-1155 that lives in the wallet you already have — you can sell it, move it, or keep it forever.

Wired to an address

Once it resolves, someone can send you ETH or a token by typing your name. That last part is the bit almost everyone forgets to do.

Most names point at nothing.

Registering gives you an NFT. Making it work takes three more transactions — and the standard interface buries them behind separate buttons that never mention each other. So people buy a name, and it sits there resolving to nothing.
